"Mama-se, mama-sa, mama-coo-sa". According to writer Mark Anthony Neal, "the lyrics were taken directly from the music of Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango who broke into the American market in 1973 with his clic Soul Makossa." ("Makossa" means "dance" in Duala, a Cameroonian language). Dibango sued Jackson for copyright infringement after Thriller was released; the case was settled out of court.
