Can body washes and soaps cause a yeast infection?

*takes a deep breath* *exhales* I have never had a problem before, but I am currently suffering the worst yeast infection I've ever had! The only thing I remember doing 'down there' was I washed the area with Dove body wash and I borrowed my husbands used washcloth (it was in the shower) before having . The next day, my inner labia are itchy and inflamed, and I have a thick, yeasty discharge on my underwear. My husband is complaining of abrasions (from scratching) and redness where the tip of his joins the shaft. I know, TMI. But seriously can too much soap be the culprit. Don't even start talking about STD's. We are happy and faithful.
