Hair growing under my skin thatnis not a normal ingrown hair?

so there was this hair above my right knee that was literally growing under my skin. it was about 1 cm long and it didn't have a bump like a normal ingrown hair. i picked at it a little near the base point of the hair to try and get the hair out but i was very unsuccessful. then there was a tiny cut in my skin fro where i picked at it so i put a band aid on it for the day. the next day(today) i picked at it some more to try and get it out and i noticed a little white spot around the follicle that looked like puss. so i squeezed at it and what looked like puss came out along with the long strand of thin hair. then another strand of really thin hair came out(i think the one hair split into two which is why they were so thin) and i plucked it out. then i noticed that there was still a white dot down there and i squeezed at it a little but nothing came out so i figured it would be best just to rinse it off and leave it alone. so i put it under the faucet but it stung every time i put it under running water. i then put neosporin on it and covered it with a band-aid. when i was squeezing the puss out it made me think of a guy squeezing out a parasite on animal planet and now i think i have a parasite...even though it was probably just a weird ingrown hair that got a little dirt in it and had some puss. um, do i have a parasite? did i do the right gross thing? am i dying?
