Would it be better for Republicans to purposely lose the midterm elections?

If democrats keep control of the house and senate for another two years, would americans be more upset come elections in two years. Then Republicans can pretty much guarantee the white house and both the house and senate. Agree? Then they would be in a better position to repeal everything the Democrats put in place...including health care.
