In a Yahoo Group is it possible for members to be listed by gender or location?

I am a member of variious Yahoo groups. Rather than sending out a blanket email to all members of a group, and pissing off several thousand people, and short of having to go through the members list and looking at each of several thousand entries for someone local to me or in some instances for the correct gender, is their anyway as only a member and not a moderator that Yahoo will let me do this?? Something along the lines of Access where you can enter the keyword(s) into the search parameters and bingo suddenly my list to look at has shrunk from several thousand to, say twenty or fifty?? Please let me know. I do believe these groups could be a lot better with a feature such as this either added, or explained on how to use it if it already exists. Thanks a lot in advance!!!
