How do you build and construct a model rocket?

I have to write a paper based on building a model rocket, but there is no model rocket store in my town, or even remotely close. I tried looking up how to construct one and launch it but I got nada. If anyone can give me at least a little advice on how to build and construct one..(maybe a source or 2? - and yes sources can include urself..) it be mega helpful. I just need a basic idea of how to do it, with steps and all, cause frankly I never did build one and I was a dum dum for picking this project. Any advice would help...thx
