As a minor, do I have any legal standing to designate where my personal items go when I die?

In other words, am I able to write a will? If not, I know my parents wouldn't want to violate my wishes, so if I tell them where I want my things to go, what I want to happen to me when I die, etc. they have the legal authority to do that, right? Just making sure. Btw, I know this sounds kind of morbid and depressing, but I'm not suicidal or anything. Again, just making sure. Thanks.
